Rebecca Solnit and Wim Wenders Reading
I felt I had more of a connection with the Wim Wenders reading than Rebecca Solnit because it was more applicable to my studies. Although getting lost to explore and deepen your senses is important, I believe capturing moments has much more worth. Especially noticing the smallest things you have not noticed before can have a meaning or reasoning behind it, whether big or small. I also believe that when you capture a moment on a camera, that image reflects you as a person. I think it is important to have something that brings out your inner personality. Capturing images is daring and definitely a risk taking experience, which does prove the type of person you are. While walking through capitol hill, I kept looking for an item that would reflect me as an artist. There honestly was not much there, but I happen to come across a small area that caught my eye. Though what I found was smaller than intended, it does represent my thought process and is something that may be difficult for others to figure out. Taking pictures is not just taking a picture of something, but rather capturing moments that tell an endless story.
